MATLAB/Python image / imagesc non-linear axes

The MATLAB and Python matplotlib commands image(), imagesc() and pcolor() do not allow for non-linear axes.

You should use pcolormesh() or pcolor()for image-like plots of data with non-linear axes (e.g. log axes).

Another way to have Matlab imagesc() with non-linear axes

Consider the uimage and uimagesc scripts: MATLAB Central
