pip is the Python package manager, which comes installed by default in just about every Python distribution except Cygwin.
conda: Python packages, R packages and compilers
twine: Python packages from PyPi, a more modern Python package manager
Most serious Python work on Windows should instead use:
- Best for most: native Windows Python 3 64-bit install
- Better for some: from Anaconda Python in Windows Subsystem for Linux
from Windows Command Prompt:
setup-x86_64 -P python3-pip python3-devel gcc-g++ gcc-fortran
not some Windows path you might have for Anaconda Python.
