Install Julia IDE--Juno

Related: Install IJulia Notebook

Spyder does not yet work for Julia. A popular IDE for Julia (syntax highlighting, linting) is Juno.

  1. install Atom
  2. from Atom, Packages → Settings View → Install Packages
  3. type uber-juno → Packages button → Install button. Numerous packages auto-install, wait till the “Juno:Success” message appears, which disappears after a few seconds.
  4. in the top menu, click Julia → start Julia. This also takes a few minutes.

From Atom

  1. Julia → start Julia
  2. open any .jl Julia code.
